Stabaek is incredibly brittle in away matches!Copenhagen could really hammer them in second half. Is this the way you play away matches lads or just emotions of first CHL participation? -

Thank you. There is a HUGE difference between playing at home or away in European football, as you see from how we played in Albania and how we played at home. When you play away, you don't have to entertain or even play great football, you just have to get a result that, together with your home result, will get you through to the next round. We did that. Good luck with your coming season. - We're off to Copenhagen! I know in present football difference is huge in between playing home and away matches. But in this instance, even if Stabaek would lose 0-1 for Tirana would still be hard to maintain this result in Telenor Arena, because of the different pitch, lack of key players and physical problems due to late start of season preparations. Nonetheless, the theory that you mention above works exactly like this for most of teams when they play away. P.S.FCK is indeed a team to watch, you will need a perfect Stabaek in Copenhagen in order to guarantee a good outcome! -

Pretty sure we will Tirana goal is not anymore winning domestic titles,we have too many.We hope creating a strong team in european competitions! However, because albanian season is totally different from yours,we always have this problem: time insufficience to create a stronger team right after season ends, this because initially we need to keep players more than at least 1 season and then we have to start preparations much earlier.Once we rectify these issues,I believe we will be a strong bone against opponents at least in the first 2 rounds! -

Telenor Arena and artificial turf is indeed a strong weapon of Stabaek!I reckon many strong european teams will not be able to beat you at home, but you will have to play stronger in away matches and natural turf.If this area is improved Stabaek will make it to group stages and leave mark in europe! With regards to this match,Tirana just couldnt face Stabaek in this pitch, having 6 players missing and being still prior season preparations.Stabaek players can play blindfolded in their home soil and can clearly be seen that understand each other moves easily. They were countless assists in the limit of offside, very dangerous for Tirana.Corner kicks were also lethal.Overall this tie showed a stronger norwegian side. I wish Stabaek their best achievement in their first CHL appearance. They deserved to go through. -

Hello there, How is situation of Stabaek prior of second leg?In your comments I see you optimistic that would possibly face FCK.I'd take it easy, cause any unexpected elimination would cause someone a heart attack Tirana is now doing some training at artificial pitch in "Skender Halili" training ground,so that players can be used with such pitch. Btw,I am truly interested to ask:may Stabaek manage to train and play in Telenor Arena which is artificial ground by incurring no injuries? If they do,is it because players are used to this kind,or there are different reasons?

Isn´t it somewhat misguided for a team not to use ones strenghts when playing at home? By the way, Tirana didn´t have ten shots at scoring. I counted three. Four if you stretch it. I will have to clarify that by using all possibilities, were not meant chances Tirana had in this match, but lack of agressivity our lads showed towards a team that the only goal scored in was gifted from our midfielder in one of 2 chances in total created. Then few of our players werent at their best, there've been only 3-4 weeks preparations, whilst Stabaek are in middle of the season. We surely expect a different opponent in the second match, but hey,you may never predict in soccer, thats why I aint being positive or negative about the outcome and neither should you!
-
Of course not, but 0-0 will still be enough to get to the 3d round. I would truly like Stabaek players think this way

Well, we did draw with you on your home turf, so if we aren't better than FK Borat Kazakhstan, neither are you. Fylle rør å ralling. we were down in Albania to get a draw, we got it, get over it. Please dont tell me that you hope a guaranteed 0-0 in your home match

Greeting Stabaek supporters! From your comments and from first match result,I see you feel optimistic, but let me tell you that I expected a far better team that the one that played tonight against Tirana. From what I noticed,I would rank FK Aktobe Kazakhstan a better team that Stabaek IF. Stabaek came and played for a draw and players looked frightened in the pitch!Should Tirana had played in its full power and strength and use at least 50 % of their possibilities, game would surely end at least 4-0! I dont know how this team will be in their own soil, despite I expect a far better opponent this time, however I would consider this tie a very difficult to predict, even though you will play second leg in Telenor Arena!Hope we see a better match than the one we saw and may best team go through.

Good question! The only issue I would think of would be a poor preparation prior of european matches start.Means the best solidity and preparation level wasnt reached.Certainly physical shape is also important here. When we played Varteks we were in the best moment, but 2 years ago against Domzale we failed because new arrivals were just not mixed well with the rest of the team, simply training period was insufficient and matches werent taken seriously. We hope these issues will be rectified this season! From other side, winning the domestic league is totally a different story.Tirana has dominated domestic league last 19 years, but this doesnt mean that would represent succesfully in europe.Albanian league is not as strong as norwegian league, for instance, therefore such comparisons cant be made. With regards to a possibility to watch this match online,I have yet to find a source, but once I do,I will let you guys know.

Initially, please let me explain that if Tirana is unknown for you Stabaek is also unknown for us.This because both these teams havent got any name in Europe so far.Thats why I believe neither side can make predictions or promises. All we know is that Stabaek has played some matches in Norway, but Tirana not and that Stabaek is from Norway,a country that plays more quality soccer than Albania... With regards to a comparison of Memelli skill level with the rest of the team,Memelli was part of Tirana team when we beat AC Milan for instance, but he was as good as other players, although he didnt score any goals at that match. So it goes for the Championship. Then again,we do have many other quality players as: Agolli,Lila,Muzaka, etc who are equal or better skilled players than Memelli!

Please visit this link: http://www.kftirana.info/club.html Tirana new training pitch is divided into artificial turf and natural turf. Thus Tirana has been also trained into this kind of pitch for quite a long time.Personally,I wouldnt consider your pitch a huge advantage for Stabaek.

We will not get any new players in before these matches. Our economical situation is not good enough for such right now. Unfortunatly we had to let three of our players go as well, which is also due to the economical problems we suffer right now. The most valuable player amongst these is Christian Keller, but luckily for us he will be with us until we've played the two matches against Tirana. I believe the overall opinion in Norway is that we will get through this qualifying round against Tirana fairly easy. We are in mid-season, and we have a stronger national league so we are better prepared. But of course, everything is possible, as we learned two years ago when Lillestrøm (Norwegian squad) was beaten over two matches by a team from the bottom end of the table in Luxembourg...Hehe. Not that we rate Albanian teams as "walk-over-matches", but as we don't know too much about your team, it's hard to establish any real "fright" either... we might be up for a surprice! My completely unscientifically based tips for these two matches; Tirana - Stabæk 0-1 Stabæk - Tirana 4-0 Well, from one side you judge that don't know Tirana well and everything is possible, but your prediction shows quite clear that you think Stabaek would go through easy All I can say is dont take qualification from these matches for granted!Or you will end up like Lilestrom,or worse, believe this.Tirana has over 40 years experience in CHL,and has surprised much better and stronger teams that Stabaek We know you are in peak of season, but physical does not mean much here.Soccer is also hard to predict and lately surprises have happened,as Bate,Anorthosis,Cluj, etc, teams that played in group stage! A right prediction would have been: Tirana-Stabaek 2-0 Stabaek-Tirana 2-1

Greetings Stabaek supporters! Just recently have updated our website www.kftirana.info ,previously unavailable due to some technical problems. It is the most up to date site of KF Tirana. Tirana drew 1-1 against 1-st League macedonian side FK Teteks yesterday in Ohrid.New players were tested and at least 2 more signings are expected, one defender and one striker. How are Stabaek doing?Any more players have left or any new players have arrived? How is the situation in the club? Also wish to know how is Stabaek expecting these matches, being their first experience in CHL? Should any Stabaek supporters wish to travel in Tirana, please make sure you are there at least 1 day in advance,so that you dont miss out tickets, which cant be purchased online. For directions of how to travel in National Stadium"Qemal Stafa",in Tirane, please follow this link: http://www.kftirana.info/club.html There are few wireless hotspots nearby, for those who wish to use their laptops, however, not very close to the stadium. For any useful infos please feel free to reply to this message. A return ticket from Oslo to Tirana costs approx.339 Euros via Austrian Airlines.Try eDreams.com,or let me know should you need another source. We expect both matches to be tough and may the best team go through.
