You have to realise that there are many different types of artificial pitches. Some are very hard and unnatural to play on. The pitch we have is the latest model of the best type of artificial pitch you can find. Even players who are against artificial pitches say that ours is good to play on. It is quite soft and the ball movement is very similar to that of a good grass pitch, although maybe a little faster. We do not have more problems with injuries than any other club, in fact, probably less. The best thing about our pitch and Telenor Arena is that the conditions are great and always the same.

I see this as a good draw for us because Stabæk vs FCK would be an all-Scandinavian tie which helps to create interest amongst supporters and the media. Every team in the next round would be difficult, and by that, I mean difficult for both Stabæk and Tirana. The worst thing is to be drawn against a very good, but generally unknown team. At least Stabæk playing against FCK should draw good crowds. However, nobody in Stabæk is taking the next game against Tirana lightly. We know it will be a difficult match - for both teams. On a personal note, if we make it through against Tirana, I am definitely going to take the trip to Copenhagen to see the first match against FCK, so I REALLY hope we win on Tuesday.

Thank you for your polite, balanced post. One thing you have to remember is that our season is played at a different time to the rest of Europe and that Stabæk became champions of Norway almost 8 months ago. Since then, we have sold our two best players and other central players have become injured or retired. The Stabæk team you saw last night is a team in the re-building stages. Remember also that it was the first CL qualifying game for the club - ever. Of course, our players were understandably nervous, but if we can continue to compete at this level, they will become more relaxed in this type of game. Our number 17 is a Swedish player called Pontus Farnerud. He is a magnificent player but please keep it quiet, otherwise he will be the next guy outta here. To be honest, when we play at our best, we can play extremely fast, effective and entertaining football and I hope you get to see some of that in the next match. Last night's match was a big lesson for us in the learning curve that is a part of European football, for the players, the club and the supporters. To be honest, I don't think we have a snowball's chance in hell of reaching the actual group stages of the CL, in fact, if we did, it would be one of the greatest achievements of any football club ever. - But it will be fun for as long as it lasts. I look forward to the return match next week at Telenor Arena, and as long as the referee does his job, the best team will win. Good luck whatever happens.

Give the guy a break will you. He's in titled to have an opinion. We didn't have a good day at work, but still did what we came down there to do. Tirana however was in my opinion a stronger team than expected. They played faster and more directly than teams in that area normally do. If they put their act together, they can be a harder match in the home game than we like to beleive. Why should we give him a break? These guys come on our forum and insult Stabæk, telling us how crap we are and how fantastic they are. - They deserve everything they get. If they can't handle it - they shouldn't come here!

Grretings Tirana supporters! From your comments I can see that you are really pissed off about only getting a draw tonight. Let me tell you that I expected Tirana to be a far better team than the one that played tonight against Stabæk. I would rank Lillestrøm as a better team than Tirana. You are surprised that Stabæk came and played for a draw?? - Welcome to European football! We had a job to do tonight and we did it. Congratulations on getting away with those disgusting, dirty tackles too. You guys should have had four or five yellow cards tonight. If I were you, I would save my opinions about Stabæk until after the return match next week. You had better pray that we don't play at our best next week or you guys will have an embarrassing night.
